Where to buy? What to look for? What not to buy?

I am looking for a offset patio umbrella that is under 8' in diameter, but I am unable to find one. Do any manufacturers make offset umbrellas under 8' in diameter?

I'm looking to replace my basketball hoop with a patio umbrella. Ideally, I want an offset umbrella that mounts where the face plate of the basketball hoop used to be. I don't like "Shade to Go" and the types that use a tall umbrella mounted to the middle of the pole. I'd like to spend under $200, but I'm having trouble finding umbrellas (that are top mount without a pole) and the hardware to do this.

I can't spend too much money because I'm a broke student. My balcony is 7' x 7'. I just need to spruce it up a bit. For the record, I live in Seattle. Thanks!

I've had to buy a new patio umbrella every year because the color fades almost immediately. Is there something I can do to prevent this or least slow it down?

I would love to have one of those patio umbrellas with lights running along the inside ribs. Am not enthused about running an electric cord but wonder how long the batteries would last on a battery operated umbrella. Or would an umbrella with solar operated lights be satisfactory.

I have an adjustable patio umbrella but not sure how to change the angles. It has some buttons close to the top and the crank. What do I do?
