The look I'm going for is sort of an "earthy zen" fused with a sort of "modern industrial." What color would you paint the room? What sort of flooring? If you like, post links to pictures of the things you would use (furniture, etc.) I've already got a picture in my mind of what I want, but I'm curious to see what everybody else posts... It may give me some great ideas :)

I have black furniture in my living room...bookcases, coffee tables, the whole works. My couches are currently black but I would like to find some slipcovers to cover them. I want to stay with beachy accents. I have navy blue pillows right now along with some navy, white, and aqua strip pillows. What color slipcovers should I buy and do you have any other decorating ideas to make the living room beachy. Thanks.

My sofas are black with silver accent and coffee / entertainment center is black. I really would like to add some color other than black or white to the living area..starting with an area rug. The floor is smooth beige concrete and walls are same color. What colors do you think would go well with the ones above? Maybe a dark dark blue or purple? I just can't see any of the other pastels for some reason.

I have leather furniture, and I love accent pillows, because they always add color to a room. My problem is that they always slide down on the leather. What kind of outside material should I look for and does someone know of a website where I can find them? thanks

Hi! We recently bought a beautiful dark brown leather furniture set from Gallery furniture here in Houston. "Our living does not have alot of natural light and I need a couple of accent colors and ideas to brighten up the room.Our walls are painted a Sand color with antique white trim. Any suggestions would be great!

I've got a couple shades of red going on with my furniture-- the sofa and chair are more of a rusty color, but my coffee table is bright, deep red. The other three walls are boring white and I don't want to repaint them because this room is huge. What color accent wall goes with this? Should I paint the wall with the window, or the other, biggest wall? I also have a bunch of natural colored wooden desk and bookshelves. They are teak.

We are getting new dark brown leather furniture. Right now I have dark brown window treatments and the walls are already painted a taupe color. What would be a good accent color to do the windows in and maybe the color of lamp shades? I want to do a red but my kitchen already has a lot of red because it's in chili peppers. I have black framed pictures and mirror and some black iron candle decor. I need some suggestions please?
