I am interested in making fountains, similar to European Rennaisance type fountains. How can I learn how to do the sculpture and fountain making, here in Australia, or would I need to go to Italy or something?

I am interested in making my own clocks, lamps and fountains from recycled materials, but want to know how to wire lamps, manipulate clock gears and hook up fountains. I know that you usually have to buy some of the gear, but how can you customize it (for instance, a clock face)? Where can I find more information and how-to guides on how to do this?

I was wondering if they actually have a purpose in cooling down the ballpark on a hot day. I was at Comerica in Detroit and I noticed how comfortable it was inside. Then I realized it might have been the fountains and the vapors that were cooling the place. Am I right, or are they really just for show?

Cities like Portland, OR and many others have drinking fountains that are always on and running. Isn't this considered wasteful, why is it ok to do this on public drinking fountains while your supposed to conserve in your home. Is this water getting taken back to some kind of filtration system?

I believe it is th Oasis fountains that have two holes. One is usually smaller than the other. Is it to make a better stream to drink from?

Even in the same building, everyone knows that there are one or two water fountains that are the 'best." Why are a few water fountains ice-cold while the rest all seem to be tepid at best?

I drink from water fountains at my university consistently throughout the day while passing between classes. However most of them have coatings of green, white and black mold around the, I assume steel, nozzle/fountain head. I am wondering if the effects from the mold may be damaging to my health and the other students who drink from these fountains.

I know that the sound of water flowing is calming and nice, so i brought a nice water fountain that has three candles on it with rocks underneath it, but i just read that water fountains are not good in regards to the feng shui? is this correct, and if so, what should i do because i want my bedroom to be a calming, yet interesting place to reside and sleep in. thanx. help.
